Triple Winner, Professor Neil Denari

Neil Denari wins three design awards in recent AIA/LA Design Award Shocker. UCLA Architecture and Urban Design Professor and Principal of Neil M. Denari Architects, received Best in Show for both, Next LA and Design Awards for the 2011 AIA|LA Design Awards' Next LA and Design Awards categories, along with being awarded this years’ Gold Medal Presidential Honor. The Presidential Awards recognize select individuals that take leadership roles in their profession.

Denari won Next LA's Best in Show for his "No Mass House," located in the Palisades. Described as a single-family residence that gives the appearance of mass without the massiveness. The Next LA Jury unanimously chose this home for its appearance of a past future and for its conscious effort on incorporating consumerist culture into the details.
Denari took the Design Awards Best in Show for his HL23 building located in New York City next to the High Line. The building incorporates the public space with its grandeur, but also holds true to the privacy the luxury condominium must offer its tenants.
