In the first of a series of videos for Dezeen’s P.O.D. System Architecture project with adidas, Professor Neil Denari reveals his spherical building concept, a conceptual live-work complex by Neil M Denari Architects called “adidasphere.”
For the project, Dezeen and adidas commissioned five LA-based architecture firms to create a series of conceptual structures drawing from the brand's recently launched P.O.D. System sneakers.
Denari’s design references the P.O.D. System shoe's distinctive outsole, which is made up of three components, each featuring a different shock-absorbing technology.
"Our inspiration for the project was primarily the way in which individual elements come together to make a whole," he explains in the movie, which Dezeen filmed and produced for adidas Originals in Los Angeles.
