In 2016 Spring quarter, Mack Suprastudio participated in support hosting the 1st Bombay Beach Biennale in Salton City. The Bombay Beach Biennale is a not for profit designed festival relying on artists, musicians, filmmakers, philosophers, homemakers, refugees, insane and academic persons to create a nonstop, immersive and festive environment for non-commercial mingling over one weekend. EXHIBITION I FUTURIZE X

Mack Suprastudio joined a joint exhibition called Futurize X at the UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center, hosted by the Anderson Business School. The Exhibition was about future technology and students had a chance to showcase their studio work to the audience including entrepreneurs, students, faculties and people from the tech industry.

FIELD TRIP I LOS ANGELES

Mack Suprastudio goes on a field trip to downtown Los Angeles on a sunny Friday to understand the urban infrastructure of performance spaces and entertainment activities.

Destination spots include Walt Disney Concert Hall, Broad Museum, Bradbury building & Grand Central Market etc.

After enjoying the glass slide at OUE Skyspace, we went down to the FIGat7th Downtown Festival for an evening DJ performance.

SYMPOSIUM I THE ARCHITECTURE OF PERFORMANCE

“The Architecture of Performance” is a one day symposium exploring the state of the art in performance related architecture and its inspiration for temporary urban space making and public spectacle. Organized by Mark Mack SUPRASTUDIO, the symposium was held on September 10th, 2016 at UCLA IDEAS campus with guest speakers, artists, curators and event organizers in the field of performance.
