BOMBAY BEACH BIENNALE

BOMBAY BEACH BIENNALE

"The Future it used to be", April 14th ~ 16th, 2016 @ Salton Sea

In 2016 Spring quarter, Mack Suprastudio participated in support hosting the 1st Bombay Beach Biennale in Salton City. The Bombay Beach Biennale is a not for profit designed festival relying on artists, musicians, filmmakers, philosophers, homemakers, refugees, insane and academic persons to create a nonstop, immersive and festive environment for non-commercial mingling over one weekend. This years theme was titled The Way the Future Used to Be, and it was intended for invited artists, musicians, architects and others to provide events and exhibition content.

Mack Suprastudio participated as artists in creating pavilions and also helped organizing the planning and operations during the festival. Students along with Professor Mark Mack design fabricated installations including the dead fish installation, model city and pavilions.
