Former Haitian Prime Minister, Michèle Duvivier Pierre-Louis, visits The Now Institute

The Now Institute had the honor of hosting lunch for Her Excellency Michèle Duvivier Pierre-Louis, Former Prime Minister of Haiti and Executive Director of the Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL),  journalist, activist Lorraine Mangones and Haitian Development Group Co-Director Claude Alexander.
This lunch meeting gave Thom Mayne and the Now Institute an opportunity to speak with Her Excellency, Madam Mangones and Mr. Alexander about Haiti, the nation’s political history and future, as well as both of our interests in contributing to education throughout the country.
Thom Mayne presented her with the very first copy of Haiti Now, which features an essay by the former Prime Minister.
We would like to thank Madam Michèle Pierre-Louis, Lorraine Mangones, and Claude Alexander for taking the time to visit us here at The Now Institute and wish them well in their travels throughout the United States!
Hope to see you all again soon in Haiti!
