NEWS

Alumni Stephanie Rigolot (M.Arch.I 2007) is featured this week in Archinect’s “Working out of the Box” series discussing her pivot from practicing architecture to communicating architecture. Founder of the LA-based consultancy WHAT THE WHAT, Rigolot participated in Thom Mayne’s Madrid NOW research studio while at UCLA. Upon graduation she accepted a full-time position at Morphosis where she was part of the team that designed and developed construction documents for the Phare Tower in Paris. She was invited to co-write and design Combinatory Urbanism: The Complex Behavior of Collective Form detailing Morphosis’ approach to urban design.

“Working Out of the Box” is Archinect’s feature that presents architects who have applied their architecture backgrounds to alternative career paths. Rigolot discuss her experience working for architects such as Michael Graves and Thom Mayne, and how that evolved into a business devoted to helping architects express their work to the the public.
