As part of the Urban Humanities Initiative's Fora Lecture Series, please join us on Thursday, February 20th at 12:30pm for a lecture by Mierle Laderman Ukeles, artist and Artist-in-Residence at the NYC Department of Sanitation. Her talk “MAINTENANCE / SERVICE / RESILIENCE / SUSTAINABILITY / SURVIVAL CRASHING INTO FREEDOM / WHEN YOU ARE SO SICK OF ALL THESE WORDS.....” is linked to the UHI-sponsored seminar offered by Prof. Miwon Kwon and Nico Machida, and will look at issues of art practice embedded in urban space. Lunch will be provided. Co-sponsored with the Department of Art History.
