Architectural Record featured Distinguished Professor Thom Mayne of Morphosis Architects in its May edition.  Mayne's latest project, Emerson College is featured on the cover and in the article Scene Stealer written by Christopher Hawthorne.  Thom Mayne explores a new set of ideas in his first major project for his hometown in 10 years. Located in the heart of Hollywood, the new Emerson College facility establishes a permanent home for the College's undergraduate internship program, which since 1986 has linked students with professional learning exppreiences acrosss the entertainment industry. 

Emerson College Los Angeles was recognized by the Los Angeles Business Council with the Grand Prize Award for excellence in outstanding architecture and design. The 44th Annual Los Angeles Architectural Awards, hosted by the Los Angeles Business Council, recognize the project teams responsible for the very best architecture in Los Angeles and Los Angeles County.

Emerson College Los Angeles recieved the prestigious Alliance for Quality Construction's Q Award on June 24 for its construction of a flashy and tenologically advanced LEED Gold Cerified 10-story building. AQC’s Q Award is given annually for outstanding contributions toward the attainment of quality construction within the building industry of Southern California. The recipient is selected by the Alliance’s membership from quality union construction projects completed in the previous year.
